A message from the founder:
More than ever, business is a centrepoint of modern society and a key lens to use to succeed. Essential business skills are crucial in all industries. By showing youth how to tap into these opportunities, we can create a generation of future leaders. I’ve written and published this guide so that you, as a youth leader, can catalyze informed career choices in not only the youth around you but also within yourself and your team—after all, discovering what you like doing comes from doing. Whether you’re a branch lead, an ambitious high school student, or someone who stumbled upon this page out of curiosity, join us on our mission to empower all by building one of society’s least preached skills: knowing how to choose a career.
Sincerely,
Richard Li (Co-Founder)

About replicable events
Our guides are written to be descriptive, transparent, but also accessible for anyone to recreate our initiatives. Most require a very little (or no) budget and skills that we also teach. By joining us, officially or by inspiration, you are becoming part of a great legacy.
Please do not feel as though you must recreate each element of each initiative or event. We encourage you to iterate upon our initiatives or events. Feel free to let us know about your ideas and events at [email protected]
Without further ado…
What is a Career Fair?
Our Career Fair hosted speakers from various business sectors to speak about the ins and outs of their careers. We outreached hundreds of professionals on LinkedIn and selected five to discuss their daily work, personal FF Fives, and career journeys. To promote while following our zero-based budget strategy, we ran a raffle for a coffee chat with speaker Marjorie He and partnered with the UWaterloo Consulting Club. We took detailed notes during sessions, from which attendees completed surveys to reflect on how they connected with each speaker’s FF Five. Using AI from the FF Careers App prototype, we generated 29 personalized career reports for participants. Honoring our accessibility commitment, we posted full event recordings on YouTube after the fair—accessible at www.futureforward.info/careerfair—enabling those who could not attend to watch the sessions and complete the AI career survey at their convenience. Overall, audience engagement was strong, with 53 attendees and 145 YouTube views.
